The Golf
Lakelands Golf Course
Situated in the heart of Queensland’s Gold Coast, The Lakelands Golf Club was Jack Nicklaus’ first signature designed course in Australia. Nicklaus has used bunkering extensively in his strategic design and water features on many of the course’s 18 holes. The impeccable conditioning of the course, which has been recognised with several awards over the years, would matter little if the design was ordinary. The fact that Nicklaus’ work at Lakelands is first class ensures this layout sits comfortably among the top echelon of Australian courses and should be on the ‘must play’ list of every golfer heading to the Gold Coast.

RACV Royal Pines
Queensland’s home of championship golf and host of the Australian PGA Championship. A 27 hole resort golfing experience, comprising three immaculately groomed 18 hole composite courses set amongst countless lakes and bunkers on undulating terrain. The backdrop is provided by the hinterland mountains to the west and the Gold Coast skyline to the east. Royal Pines has hosted 9 PGA Championships and this is your chance to share the same fairways as Adam Scott, Cameron Smith, Bubba Watson, Ernie Els, Greg Norman and many more!

The Itinerary
Day 1 – Sunday 21st July 2024
- Check in to The Star Gold Coast 2pm
- Bag drop at Star City Casino 3pm
- Welcome party at TopGolf Gold Coast 5.30pm
- 2-hours of golf and ‘Backyard BBQ’ food including pickled fried chicken, Brisket with house mop sauce, Caesar Salad with herbed croutons & parmesan shavings, Zucchini chips with Napoli sauce and mozzarella melt, Roasted Kipfler potatoes with garlic and herb oil.
Day 2 – Monday 22nd July 2024
- Round 1 at RACV Royal Pines (2-person ambrose format)
- 8am shotgun start
- Includes shared cart
- Includes Bacon & Egg roll & juice or coffee
- Gourmet BBQ on completion
Day 3 – Tuesday 23rd July 2024
- Round 2 at Lakelands Golf Club (2-person ambrose format)
- 1pm shotgun start
- 10.30am buffet lunch pre round
- Includes shared cart
Day 4 – Wednesday 24th July 2024
- Check out of The Star Gold Coast
- Final round at Links Hope Island (2-person ambrose format)
- 8 am shotgun start
- Includes shared cart
- Includes Bacon & Egg roll & juice or coffee
- Presentation lunch on completion of the round
Other details
- Event is open to players with and without an official AGU Handicap.
- Handicapped players will be in Division 1 and Non-Handicapped players in Division 2
- Division 1 Players earn points for Golfer Tour Order of Merit
- Transfers to all Golf Locations are available for $70 per person, this does NOT include airport transfers. We will send a transfer link option out closer to the event.

- Maximum differential of team handicaps for males is 20.
- Maximum differential of team handicaps for Mixed Team (M+F) is 25.
- Any participant withdrawing from the tournament due to Covid within 48 hours of tee off will receive a credit.
- 28 day cancellation period prior to the event, after this date no refund will be issued only credits for future use.
