The Golf
New South Wales Golf Course
New South Wales is one of the most spectacular courses in the world! It is a wonderful combination of undulating fairways, beautiful scenic vistas and a spectacular clubhouse which is a magnificent combination of traditional architecture and five star comfort. The signature hole is the world famous par three 6th hole. With its back tee located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the wreck of the SS Minmi we soon realise that this hole can definitely wreck your scorecard. Such a shot requires the utmost in commitment, just like almost every shot here at NSW, because this course definitely punishes poor or off-line shots more than most other courses.
Currently ranked as the 6th best golf course in Australia, NSW has been home to numerous Australian Opens. The course and club are steeped in history. It is a well known historical fact that Captain Cook and his crew found their first drinking water in a natural spring below where the 18th tee is located today.
