The Golf

Metropolitan Golf Course
Tucked away quietly in Melbourne’s south-east and only 15 minutes from the CBD, Metropolitan Golf Club is one of the renowned sandbelt courses and for nearly 100 years has been considered one of the finest championship courses across Australia. The bentgrass greens are large, firm, and fast and are hand-mown right to the edge of the greenside bunkers. In total, there are 103 bunkers on the course, and almost every hole is flanked by huge stands of native trees which provide sanctuary to many species of native birds, including the noisy but beautiful sulfur-crested cockatoo and the multi-coloured rainbow lorikeet.
No stranger to hosting championship tournaments, the Metropolitan recently hosted the PGA World Cup of Golf in 2018. Seven Australian Opens, five Australian PGAs and ten other professional tournaments have been hosted at Metropolitan.
There’s nothing quaint about the clubhouse at Metropolitan. The current building opened a few years ago and it provides a really sleek, polished, top-end experience and it is in here that you will enjoy your sit down lunch following your round.

Refunds & Cancellation Policy
7 Day Cancellation Period
- 100% refundable as credit within 7 days of purchase if payment is made more than 30 days prior to the event.
- Otherwise the following applies:
Cancellations
- 31+ days prior to the event: 100% refundable as credit.
- 14–31 days prior to the event: 50% refundable as credit; however, a full credit may be issued if waitlist entries can be substituted.
- 14–0 days prior to the event: Non-refundable; however, a full credit may be issued if waitlist entries can be substituted.
Credits
- Credit can be used on any of our events or deals for 12 months following cancellation.
